Promote the Cooperation of University and Enterprises and Push Forward the Development of “Industry-academia-Research”
In the afternoon of November 2, 2021, a communication meeting on feasibility of “5G-intelligent mine technology status, development and industry-academia-research application” between Taiyuan University of Technology and Shanxi Xinyuan Coal Co.,Ltd was held in the College of College of Physics and Optoelectronics and Key Laboratory of New Sensors and Intelligent Control of the Ministry of Education as an academic salon of Linyun programme. Professor Xiao Liantuan, Vice Principal of Taiyuan University of Technology, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, was present to give guidance.
Cui Zhifang, deputy general manager of Shanxi Xinyuan Coal Co., Ltd. gave a high-level report on the key technology of the construction of the first 5G coal mine in China and the application and future development of 5G in intelligent mines, explaining the needs of intelligent coal mine construction, the current technical difficulties that need to be solved, and expressing the willingness of cooperation. Professor Qiao Tiezhu made a presentation on 5G intelligent mine comprehensive sensing technology, explaining the current situation and development of “man-machine-loop” comprehensive sensing technology; he introduced the NB-IOT low-power IOT sensor developed by the cross-disciplinary research group, and the development of the “5G-intelligent mine IOT sensor”. Both sides had an profound and specific communication on the construction of the first 5G intelligent coal mine in China, the Internet of Things and 5G communication technology, clearly pointed out the scientific and technological problems that need to be solved at this stage of intelligent coal mines and its direction and discussed the feasibility of university-enterprise cooperation in conducting research on key intelligent mine technologies and platform construction of R&D, experiment and practices.
Professor Xiao Liantuan pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen the combination of professional master’s practice and scientific research to serve the needs of the industry, to deeply integrate talent training, scientific research and service to the society, to seek development with innovation, to find research questions in the industry and to overcome difficulties.

Professor Hao Yuying, Dean of the College of Physics and Optoelectronics, Professor Jin Baoquan, Director of the Key Laboratory of New Sensors and Intelligent Control, Professor Lv Yuxiang, Professor Zhang Jianzhong, Associate Professor Zhang Jianguo and other relevant research groups, and Shanxi Xinyuan Co,Ldt. 5G Intelligent Mine Construction Director Ji Jie attended the meeting.
